Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Skyline Backpackers (“Skyline Backpackers”, “we”, “us”) — a hostel operated as a sole proprietorship (MSME; Udyam Reg. No. UDYAM-TS-02-0241702) at Above ICICI Bank, 3rd Floor, Sindhi Colony, Secunderabad, Telangana 500003. By booking a bed or using our website https://skylinebackpackers.vercel.app, you accept these Terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book and stay. By booking, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to make the booking, including on behalf of any additional guests in your party.

2. What we offer

Skyline Backpackers offers shared dormitory bed bookings on flexible plans — hourly (1, 3, or 5 hours), daily, weekly, and monthly. Bookings are for a bed in a shared dormitory, not a private room. Our Female / Family dormitory is reserved for women travellers and families only; we may decline or reassign a booking that does not meet this condition.

3. Bookings & bed holds

When you start a booking, the selected bed(s) are held for a short period (about 15 minutes) while you complete payment. If payment is not completed within that window, the hold is released and the bed(s) may be booked by someone else. A booking is confirmed only after successful payment, at which point we send a confirmation (with a check-in QR code) over WhatsApp.

4. Pricing & convenience fee

Prices are shown per bed. A convenience fee is added at checkout and shown clearly before you pay. This is a platform/service convenience charge — it is not a government tax; as an MSME we are not GST-registered and do not levy GST. Optional add-ons (such as breakfast) are priced separately and shown in your total. The amount displayed at review is the amount you pay.

5. Payments

Online payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details. Walk-in bookings may be paid at the reception desk (cash/UPI) and are recorded by our staff.

6. Check-in, ID & stay

• Please carry a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, or Driving Licence). Staff verify it at check-in; entry may be refused without valid ID.
• Check-in opens shortly before your booked start time; check-out is by the stated time.
• Beds are non-transferable. The booking is for the named guest(s) only; the check-in QR code is single-use and becomes invalid after check-out.

7. House rules

• Respect quiet hours and fellow guests.
• The Female / Family dormitory is reserved for women and families only.
• No smoking inside the dormitories; no illegal substances on the premises.
• Follow staff instructions and all safety and security notices.

We may refuse service, or require a guest to leave without refund, for unsafe, unlawful, or seriously disruptive behaviour.

8. Cancellations, refunds & no-shows

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which sets out the refund amount based on how far before check-in you cancel. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Razorpay; the time to reach your account depends on your bank. A guest who does not arrive (no-show) is not eligible for a refund.

9. Your responsibilities & liability

You are responsible for your belongings; please use the lockers provided and do not leave valuables unattended. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skyline Backpackers is not liable for loss of or damage to personal property, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. You agree to reimburse us for damage you cause to the property or its furnishings.

10. Intellectual property

The Skyline Backpackers name, logo, website, and content are our property and may not be copied or used without permission.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version; continued use of the site or services means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana.
